There was once this group of friends who loved to tailgate for Aggie football. Now, they were also a bunch of smartasses and when I asked what I should bring, they answered “pie”. Never one to be outsmarted, I made them pie. And then I did it again. The tradition of Tailgate Pie was born!

At some point, I took over the tailgate and no one cared what I was cooking for the meal. Like, ever. All they ever asked was “will there be pie?”. There Will Be Pie became our tailgate’s name because I was tired of answering that dang question! Lots of life passed and many changes were made. Those same friends were begging me to open a bakery so they could get pie whenever their little hearts pleased.
